The Neuroprogressive & Dementia Network

The Neuroprogressive & Dementia Network (NDN) promotes high-quality research into the causes, treatment and effects of dementia and other neuroprogressive diseases.

The network was set up in 2008 with funding from the Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government.

The NDN has aided the creation of a UK wide service for people with or without a diagnosis of dementia who are willing to assist with research projects to be matched with dementia studies called Join Dementia Research (www.joindementiaresearch.nihr.ac.uk). This will help more people to become involved in dementia research as well as providing researchers with participants for research projects.

The network also has a patient and public involvement group for people wanting to help with the set up and design of new research projects.
